Nursery

Ages 2-3

Although the IB PYP begins in Pre-school, we are delighted to be able to offer students between 2 and 3 years of age a place in our Nursery. Our Nursery Programme is a comprehensive approach to early learning through play and open ended experiences so children can enjoy being engaged, inquisitive and independent learners. The programme introduces children to learning in an educational setting and prepares them for enrolment in the Primary Years Programme.

The programme is based on multi-cultural developmentally appropriate practices with an emphasis on a child’s social-emotional development and well-being. Additionally, it creates a playful learning environment with multiple sensorial indoor and outdoor experiences so children can enjoy making choices and inquiring into their interest areas. The Nursery class focuses on building a strong sense of community. The Nursery team works closely with families to ensure open communication and strong collaboration bridging the child’s home and school life.

Our Nursery facility features

  • Indoor and outdoor learning environments
  • Access to additional learning areas: Early Childhood gym, teaching kitchen, music room and library
  • Nappy/diaper changing facilities
  • Sleeping cots provided for rest time
